1633 New Cases Of Coronavirus Recorded In Nigeria As Toll Surpasses 120,000 Mark

The Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC) announced that it has recorded 1,633 fresh cases of COVID-19 in the country on Saturday, January 23.


According to the health agency, Lagos recorded 498. Other places with fresh cases include Plateau-214, FCT-176, Rivers-99, Kaduna-98, Edo-87, Anambra-86, Akwa Ibom-50, Osun-47, Kano-40, Oyo-40, Kwara-39, Ebonyi-28, Niger-28, Taraba-28, Ogun-27, Ondo-21, Ekiti-12, Katsina-7, Borno-6 and Delta-2.


Nigeria now has 120,602 confirmed cases of the viral disease. 95,901 patients have been successfully treated and discharged while 1,502 deaths have sadly been recorded.
