Ronaldo headed Madrid in front, to claim his 20th goal of this season’s La Liga campaign. It also meant he has scored at least 20 goals in each of his eight seasons at the Santiago Bernabeu.

The Portugal captain has also now scored more goals in Europe’s top six leagues than anyone else.
His goal against Valencia was his 367th, breaking Jimmy Greaves’ 46-year-old record.
Ronaldo’s record haul of goals span across his career at Sporting Lisbon, Manchester United and now Real Madrid and came in 483 league appearances, which is 45 fewer than Chelsea, AC Milan, Tottenham, West Ham and England hero Greaves, who retired from top-flight football in 1971.
German legend Gerd Muller is third on 365 goals.

I Was Very Sure Of Joshua Knocking Out Klitschko,Says Ex-Nigeria Coach Mensah

Former Nigeria national boxing coach Joe Mensah says he was not surprised that Nigeria-born British boxer Anthony Joshua knocked out Ukrainian Wladimir Klitschko in their heavyweight world title bout at Wembley Stadium on Saturday night, According to Completesports reports.
Joshua, 27, made it 19 straight knockouts in 19 professional fights when he sent Klitschko, 41, to the canvass in the 11th round.
The win means Joshua is now the International Boxing Federation (IBF), World Boxing Association (WBA) and International Boxing Organisation (IBO) heavyweight champion.
Mensah who represented Nigeria at the boxing event of the Munich 1972 Olympics, stated that Klitschko’s age was his bane.
“Like I said before the fight, I knew Joshua would win because he has age on his side,” Mensah told Completesports
“I wasn’t surprised that the fight ended in a knockout, I had predicted that it would surely happen but I didn’t get the round correct.
“Though Klitschko showed his experience, his age eventually caught up with him.
“I think it is a good experience for Joshua fighting someone like Klitschko because I believe he must have learnt one or two things which I believe will be good for him.”

Why i am absence at the Federal Executive Council meeting, President Buhari

President Muhammadu Buhari has assured Nigerians that despite insinuations about his alleged poor health, there is no need for apprehension over recovery.

Buhari Respond this evening through a statement by his Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Garba, explaining why he had been out of public glare for a while.

According to PREMIUMTIME The statement said, “President Buhari’s absence at the Federal Executive Council meeting of Wednesday, April 26, was a last minute decision; otherwise, the cabinet and the public might have been alerted in advance. As eager as he is to be up and about, the President’s doctors have advised on his taking things slowly, as he fully recovers from the long period of treatment in the United Kingdom some weeks ago.

“President Buhari himself, on his return to the country, made Nigerians aware of the state of his health while he was in London. Full recovery is sometimes a slow process, requiring periods of rest and relaxation, as the Minister for Information, Lai Mohammed, intimated in his press briefing after the FEC meeting on Wednesday.
“Despite his lack of visibility, Nigerians should rest assured that President Buhari has not abdicated his role as Commander-in-Chief of Nigeria.
“He receives daily briefings on the activities of government, and confers regularly with his Vice President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo. His private residence, in which he has been spending the majority of his time recently, also has a fully equipped office.
“God is the giver of life and health. We are grateful that He has seen our President through the worst period of his convalescence in London. We are thankful that the President has passed a number of benchmarks already. We pray that God continues to see him through this period of recuperation.”

Nigerians wanted you out-USA replies Jonathan

The United States of America has replied former President Goodluck Jonathan, insisting that President Muhammadu’s victory at the 2015 presidential election was the will of Nigerians.

The US Government stated this while responding an allegation made by former president of Nigeria on former president Barrack Obama

He had said, “President Barack Obama and his officials made it very clear to me by their actions that they wanted a change of government in Nigeria and we’re ready to do anything to achieve that purpose.

“They even brought some naval ships into the Gulf of Guinea in the days preceding the election.
“I got on well with Prime Minister David Cameron but at some point, I noticed that the Americans were putting pressure on him and he had to join them against me.
“But I didn’t realise how far President Obama was prepared to go to remove me until France caved in to the pressure from America.
“But weeks to the election, he had also joined the Americans in supporting the opposition against me.”
According to the DAILYPOST report,In response, US Embassy spokesman, Russel Brooks, said the country advocated a free and fair election.
“The US advocated a free, fair and transparent election. The election outcome was an expression of the will of the Nigerian people,” Brooks said.

Nigeria’s current system not working – Atiku

Former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, has called for the restructuring of Nigeria, to promote economic development and unity.
Atiku stated this in a speech he delivered at the public presentation of the Daily Stream newspaper, at the Banquet Hall, Nigeria Airforce Conference Centre, Kado, Abuja on Thursday.
Atiku said: “The country is truly at a crossroads, and things are made worse by the cocktail of economic, social, political and problems which we have had to contend with, and which add to the abysmally low estimation of our country even by its own citizens.
“However, I am not here just to lament over the sad and unenviable state of affairs in Nigeria. I firmly believe in the viability of the Nigerian Project, I remain unshaken and completely persuaded that we can eventually change the story of Nigeria for good by collectively making Nigeria a productive, prosperous, peaceful and united nation whose people are happy and contented and one that is able to really lead Africa and assume a pride of place in the comity of nations.
“But to achieve that, we must elevate and steer conversation away from empty rhetoric and platitudes. We must instigate and see to the full and faithful implementation of profound changes in the political structure, organization, functions and performance of state, and a radical re-organization of government, its organs and personnel.
“Our beloved country has been in the throes of severe and debilitating social and economic problems. Virtually all the development indices have not been favourable: massive and pervasive poverty, double-digit inflation, unemployment, dwindling foreign exchange receipts, poor GDP growth rates, high infant and maternal mortality, high levels of illiteracy, and millions of school-age children out of school.
“My take is that we will likely continue to grapple with such problems unless we get the structures of our federalism and governance right. Our current system, which is characterized by a focus on sharing rather than production, is clearly not conducive to development. For Nigeria to develop – or even make any appreciable progress – we must re-structure Nigeria’s political, administrative and political architecture.
“That way we can free resources that would otherwise go to unviable ventures and projects, then commit same to areas that directly cater for and benefit the people. Restructuring will facilitate the emergence of a leaner bureaucracy, enhance efficiency, block wastages and promote more prudent management. It will make for happier constituent units more committed to the progress and unity of the country and the emergence of a sense of nationhood.
”How do we do that? We should, first, dispassionately and painstakingly re-visit our 36-state structure vis-a-vis the idea of overly dominant federal government. Second, we should devolve power from the centre to the federating units: many of the items in the Exclusive List should be devolved to the states or any other agreed federating units.
“Third, that devolution of powers must include an end to federal intrusion in local government administration. The so-called States/Local Governments joint account has virtually absolved state governments of responsibilities to fund local governments while they virtually confiscate the funds allocated by the federal government to the local government. To have the federal government create local governments and directly fund them makes nonsense of the word ‘local’.
“Those powers should be vested in the state governments. And it should include an end to federal ownership of interstate roads, schools, hospitals and the uniformity in remunerations across the country.
“Fourth, we must sit down, discuss, and agree on the nature of our fiscal federalism – how to share our resources. I am on record as having advocated for the control of rents by the federating units from which they are derived while the federal government retains its powers to levy taxes. That will make us all productive again and our federating units to engage in healthy rivalries and competition, which will only result in more progress.
“There is no doubt in my mind that that the structure of our federation and governance constitute an impediment to our economic development, political stability and social harmony. Changing them would help to place our country on a path to phenomenal and unhindered development.
“To persist in what we are doing now is to do injustice to ourselves and jeopardize our future. We should endeavour to effect the needed changes by talking among ourselves and across our various divides – engaging in meaningful dialogue.
“We should take full advantage of the democratic spaces and institutions to instigate positive conversations in that regard. Given the right environment, there is hardly a limit to what a people can do for themselves by themselves.”

Senate may pass budget next week, says Senate Leader

Senate Leader, Ahmed Lawan, on Thursday said the Senate would conclude legislative work on the 2017 appropriation bill next week and pass it to President Muhammadu Buhari for assent.

At the end of a meeting with the President, the senate leader said the National Assembly had intended to pass the bill in March but could not.

“The good news is that we are doing everything possible to catch up the lost time and that by the grace of God I am thinking that by next week we should be able to finish our own work and pass the budget for Mr President to sign.’’

According to PREMIUMTIME report The Senate Leader also confirmed that the Senate would screen the two ministerial nominees from Kogi and Adamawa as well as others who require confirmation by next week.

On his visit to the President, he said it was to get the right executive briefings as part of his responsibility to market requests by the executive for passage of bills.

“I have come to meet Mr President as part of my continuous engagement with the executive to ensure that I get my briefings right so that I can always market Presidential and executive requests.

“This is supposed to be a continuous process and that is essentially why I have come to see Mr President,’’ he added.
He said such interaction should be maintained in the country in spite of the independence of the three arms of government.
“I know clearly that there is independence of each arms and I also know equally well that there is so much interdependence between the two arms or even the three arms of government in Nigeria.
“Therefore, we need to always close and narrow the gap,’’ the Senate leader said.

Hand Over To Osinbajo Makarfi Tells Buhari

Senator Ahmed Makarfi, has urged President Muhammadu Buhari to hand over power to Vice President Yemi Osibanjo pending his full recovery from his undisclosed illness.

Makarfi, who spoke with THE NATION in an interview with their correspondents in Abuja on Thursday, said if President Buhari is not fit enough to remain in office, it’s better to tell the Nigerian people and allow the Vice President to continue as Acting President and return to work after full recovery.

The leadership of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has said that the President would be working from his official residence, after failing to attend the weekly Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting for three consecutive weeks.

But Makarfi disagreed with the APC’s position, saying, “It cannot be okay and it can never be okay. My take is that if the President is not fully fit to stay in office, it is better that he tell Nigerians, so that the Vice President will continue to be Acting President, exercising the powers of acting president.

“Then you run away from this kind of situation when we allow time for the President to fully recover and assume his mantle of leadership. Me as PDP person, as a human being, I will never wish any human being ill-will even if I disagree with you politically.

“So it does not matter that it is APC that is the person that is sick. May prayer is that he is fit to serve his term. As a politician, I equally want him to finish his term. So when some people begin to insinuate things, of what interest would it be to PDP should the President be unable to finish his term.

“We don’t wish him ill will, we want him to be well, we want him to be fit enough to be on seat when in 2019 we go for election and defeat the APC .

“For a number of reasons, the PDP wishes the President well, for stability of this country, political stability and the fact that we want to defeat a sitting President. We don’t want any confusion politically in this country. It is not good for anybody and as a human being; I never wish anybody ill will irrespective of political differences”.

According to THE NATION correspondent Makarfi also reacted to the claim by former President Goodluck Jonathan that some prominent members of the PDP from Northern Nigeria, including the erstwhile party chair, Alhaji Adamu Mu’azu, betrayed him by working against his re-election in the 2015 elections.

The Caretaker Committee chairman said Jonathan was betrayed by sycophants he surrounded himself with, coupled with the fact that the party leadership made many mistakes and failed to take wise counsel.

Said he, “The PDP made many mistakes and I have said it before. Of course there were betrayers left, right and centre, even those of us who stood for other elective offices we can be talking that way.

“We made mistakes; we were not listening to what people had to tell us. We were too comfortable, then of course sycophancy took over and when sycophancy takes over what would you end up with.
“There were all kinds of betrayals. We have learnt our lessons now. I don’t want to cry over spilled milk. We should learn from the mistakes that we have made for not listening to the true voices of the people.

“Going forward, we should try to avoid a situation where we would be saying someone betrayed us. No matter what, you will find Judases here and there and you cannot do away with them in life not even in politics.
“And when they are in majority, you have to look at yourself as a party and the honest truth is that we made fundamental errors. And it created a fertile ground for that betrayal. I am not defending it because it ought not to have happened. And people would have been more patient but not everybody can be patient”.
On the argument by some prominent Northern party chieftains that PDP would have won the 2015 election if the party had fielded a popular candidate from the North, instead of Jonathan, Makarfi agreed that the race would have been easier for the party.
“Yes, the result would have been different, but even then, Jonathan as the candidate if the party had listened a lot more, and rejigged its campaign, its language and the message.
“True or false, the votes difference was about two million. It would have been different even with Jonathan as a candidate. It is not just of him as a candidate, but communicating better and dealing with the right people could have made the situation different.
“But that is history. So we should learn from the mistakes we have made. So you cannot entirely say because Jonathan was a candidate, of course it would have been much easier, but even with him as candidate, the characters fronting for PDP were not characters that could have won election for the party”.
On the future of the PDP, in view of the party’s protracted leadership crisis, Makarfi said his group are waiting for the commencement of its appeal against the court backed National Chairman of the PDP, Alhaji Ali Modu Sheriff. The Supreme Court is to commence hearing in the matter on May 5.
Asked what would be the fate of the PDP should his faction lose the case to Sheriff at the apex court, Makarfi said that would spell the death knell of the crisis-ridden opposition party.
He continued, “If it happens that way, PDP would die. But those who would be working to kill PDP that way, I assure you they would end up being confronted with a bigger political force than the PDP itself.
“Because politics is about people, there is no way, let me speak here for the North that I know so well; there is no way in the North with Sheriff at the helm of affairs of PDP that voters would on their own go and vote PDP. There is no way.
“We have just seen it in a recent election in Delta State that they have turned their back against PDP because of Sheriff. And it may be so in many states of the southern part of this country.
“These people are alive, they are politicians, they are active. Water will surely find its level. And consistently, we have been saying that we are not going to be caught unawares. We are not going to be caught without options.
“We cannot boast of what the Supreme Court judgment would be but we are hopeful that they would do what is right. And in our opinion, what is right is upholding the Convention.
“But should what we think is right not be in law right before the Supreme Court, so be it. We will decide our political direction in good time. And that political direction, I assure you, would be one that would be more potent than the PDP as it is.
“Because PDP as it is, we know that we carry wounds, a lot of stigmatism, a lot of things and in an effort to kill a rat, you may let a lion loose because God  Almighty that created us loves us and He looks over everybody.
“God wants something that is good for our people and there is no way you can deny whatever is good for our people no matter the intrigues you apply. You may think you are squeezing people one way, but you may be giving birth to something that you may not be able to squeeze.
“Win or loose, members of PDP have a bright future. So I am saying PDP members should not be bothered because win or loose at the Supreme Court, they have a brighter political future. A decision will be taken at the appropriate time”.
Describing what he described as Sheriff’s sinister antics, the party chief accused some prominent members of the ruling APC of foisting him on the PDP against the wish of the majority.
Said he, “There are invisible hands that are hoisting him, and hoisting him purely with the view to destroying opposition and that is what he is basking in. Nigerians should wake up.
“It is not about PDP, it is about development of democracy and the voice of democracy in Nigeria. And if it is PDP today, it will be another party tomorrow.
“That is what we are standing on and that is what we are fighting for so that tomorrow whichever party may find itself in power will not be able to stop easily or decimate opposition in order to have an easy way.
“You can take a horse to the river, you cannot force it to drink water.  And people will decide for themselves at the appropriate time”.
According to him, PDP members across the federation would never remain in the party with Sheriff calling the shots, stressing that the party chairman has gone into financial deal with some APC governors with the sole aim of destabilising the PDP in their various states ahead of the 2019 elections.
“Sheriff is busy factionalising the PDP across the states but we are not going to erect parallel structures in any state in deference to the Appeal Court ruling and in order not to further compound the problem.
“He is doing this for the APC governors to win comfortably in their various states and he is being paid for the job. Sheriff has taken up a job to destroy the PDP for a fee and that is exactly what he is doing”, Senator Makarfi said.
On the fate of the PDP in the forthcoming governorship election in Anambra, Ekiti and Osun States, Makarfi said voters in those states will never allow themselves to be without options.
“You see, politics is local, those states are not sleeping. They have their eyes wide open; they would never allow themselves to be without options.
“PDP men and women would never allow themselves to be without options, our prayer is that on May 4, all the motions filed before the Supreme Court would have been heard.
“And if all this are heard, our prayer is that the Supreme Court would do justice in time. And mind you, within the week, even the INEC said this crisis in PDP is affecting its ability to properly plan for elections.
“So this matter is more of elective matter than that of political party issue because every day there are elections and it is causing confusion in the land.
“Our prayer is that the Supreme Court will do justice and in our opinion, justice is respecting what the overwhelming party men and women want and do it in good time.
“Either way, whatever they decide, people would take their position as to what they are going to do and our prayer is that their decision will bring sanity in the land”, he stated.

Obama Helped Buhari In 2015 Election,Says Jonathan

Former President Goodluck Jonathan has claimed that he lost the 2015 presidential elections, because of a conspiracy between the USA, Britain and France.

In a new book “Against The Run of Play” authored by the Chairman of ThisDay Editorial Board, Olusegun Adeniyi, Jonathan said former US President Barack Obama, ex-British Prime Minister David Cameron and French President Francois Hollande helped President Muhamamdu Buhari win the election.

He said: “President Barack Obama and his officials made it very clear to me by their actions that they wanted a change of government in Nigeria and we’re ready to do anything to achieve that purpose. They even brought some naval ships into the Gulf of Guinea in the days preceding the election.

According to DAILYPOST report On why Obama was not confident in him, Jonathan said, “There was this blanket accusation that my body language was supporting corruption, a line invented by the opposition but which the media and civil society bought into and helped to project to the world. That was the same thing I kept hearing from the Americans without specific allegations.”
Jonathan also admitted that Buhari’s administration was doing a better job on the fight against insurgency.
“What is happening now with regards to Boko Haram was the same thing that happened to me regarding Niger Delta militants in 2007.
“I did my best and so did the military, though I can understand if there is greater commitment to the fight now than in the past. In my time, Boko Haram said they were fighting an infidel government. That naturally has to change since they cannot also call Buhari an infidel.
“There is a feeling of ‘our man is there now’ that you cannot discountenance. It was the same feeling with me with the Niger Delta militants at the initial stage in 2007,” he said.

Buhari Health is Not Giving Us Sleepless Night,Says APC

The All Progressives Congress (APC) governors forum yesterday maintained that there was nothing to worry about on the absence of President Muhammadu Buhari at the weekly federal executive council (FEC) meeting.

Governor Nasir Ahmed El-Rufai who spoke on behalf of the twenty-four-member governors’ forum noted: “We are not worried about the development. It is not compulsory for Mr President to preside at every federal executive council meeting. That is why our Constitution makes provision for a vice president. Mr President is over 70 years old and it is such at that age to have one medical challenge or the other.

“Even I at 57 take medication for one ailment or another. Our prayer is that the president gets better and we’ll. But the Emerson why he has the vice president is precisely for this reason. It may not be because he has a medical challenge that he didn’t go to the executive council meeting. He may have other pressing matters to attend.

“I have not chaired every executive council meeting in Kaduna even when I am in Kaduna because my deputy governor is there if there are other things to attend that are of greater priority than the council meeting. We are not worried yet. There is no concern to be worried but we ask Nigerians to join all of us in praying for the president improved health. ”
El-Rufai who briefed reporters on the outcome of their closed door parley with members of the party’s National Working Committee (NWC) hinted that the decision on when to hold the party’s midterm convention would be taken next month.
According to GUARDIAN report The Kaduna State governor said there was nothing unusual about conflict within the ranks of the party. He also stated that part of the decision taken at in the parley was that the APC governors forum would be holding a monthly meeting with members of the NWC aimed at reconciling aggrieved members of the party and strengthening the party ahead of the 2019 poll.
He also disclosed that the issue of how to source for funds from donors outside government circles topped deliberations at the parley which had twenty governors in attendance.

I Wanted To Be Buhari Running Mate In Last Election,Saraki And Others Stopped Me,Says Tinubu.

APC chieftain Bola Tinubu, has Hit out to  Senate President Bukola Saraki and the Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, of failure to allow him run in the 2015 presidential election as running mate to President Muhammadu Buhari on the ticket of the All Progressives Congress.

According to Punch Newspaper, quoting ‘Against the Run of Play’, a book by the chairman of editorial board of ThisDay Newspaper, Olusegun Adeniyi, Mr. Tinubu said Messrs. Saraki and El-Rufai worked separately but for one purpose, influencing Mr. Buhari not to pick him as his running mate.

He said both politicians played the religious card, telling Mr. Buhari a Muslim-Muslim ticket would be unpopular.

In what appeared a background to the political game that marked the June 2015 National Assembly leadership elections, Tinubu was reported to have said Saraki and other former PDP leaders who defected to the APC disrupted the plans the party had made before the arrival of the so-called PDP.
Tinubu who never wanted as Saraki as the Senate President, and was able to get the formal leadership of the APC to endorse Ahmed Lawan, for the country’s number 3 position.
He said: “What they (Saraki and others from the PDP) did behind my back was wrong. We always do things as a group. By the time they joined, we were already too far ahead in our processes but we accommodated them.
“We agreed to take their state structures and subsume them into the part and they all had their opportunity to nominate the candidates of their choices for different political offices.
“But they went behind to instigate Buhari and some other people in the party against me on the pretext of religion. That was not right. They were canvassing arguments that the Christians in the North would not vote for a Muslim-Muslim ticket.
“Nasir el-Rufai was also selling the same argument within the CPC (the defunct Congress for Progressive Change) because at that point, he still wanted to have Pastor Bakare brought in as Buhari’s running mate.”
The former governor was also reported to have said some senators and governors, who defected from the PDP to the APC, met with him on the eve of the APC presidential primaries in Lagos to know if there was an agreement between him and Mr. Buhari to run together.
“I told them that it was better to resolve such issue after the primaries, but they wanted to make it a condition for supporting Buhari, which, for me, was very wrong. I told them I could not insist on this as a condition for my support for Buhari. I felt that was not right to hold Buhari hostage in this manner.
“I believe the support that we gave was fundamental to Buhari clinching the party nomination. Without that support, a different outcome would have been most likely.
“I backed down because I did not want to be depicted as causing a problem. I backed away from the position in order to offer Buhari a name I once raised with him in 2011: that of Professor Yemi Osinbajo,” he said.

Unbelievable...India bans Facebook,Twitter And Others From Operating In Their Country,Find Out Why.

Authorities in Indian-administered Kashmir on Thursday announced a month-long ban on social networking sites like Facebook, Twitter, WhatsApp and YouTube.

Internet service providers have been asked to block 22 social networking sites with immediate effect “in the interest of maintaining public order,” an order from the Jammu and Kashmir government said.
Any violation would result in legal action, said the order from the state government’s Home Department.
An increasing trend had been noticed of social media and instant messaging sites being misused to transmit “unverified objectionable and inflammatory material and content” that was inciting violence, the order said.
Several graphic videos showing abuse by security forces and attacks on them have gone viral on social networking sites, leading to widespread clashes in the militancy-affected state.

Another N18m Found in Senator Danuma Goje House,Police Says..

Nigerian Police has said it recovered N18 million and $19,000 cash from the residence of Senator Danuma Goje, but denied carting away 2017 budget documents during the raid.

The Inspector General of Police Ibrahim Idris would today go to the National Assembly to explain the legality of the search.

The senator had alleged that the Police took away the budget document, therefore, the Police should be blamed for the delay in the passage of the budget submitted by the Executive in December last year.

According to the GUARDIAN report the Police has come out to unequivocally state that “there was no single document relating to 2017 budget sighted or removed by the Police team that executed the search warrant. There is a video recording of the execution of the search warrant.”

Force Public Relations Officer (FPRO) Jimoh Moshood insisted that the raid on the former Gombe state governor’s house in Asokoro district of Abuja, was carried out within the confines of the law, as search a warrant was obtained as stipulated by law and applied as appropriate, therefore the “report in its entirety is false, misleading and capable of misinforming Nigerians”.

Moshood explained that three relatives of the senator — Danjuma Mohammed, Ango Usman and Aisha Umar — were present when the search was conducted and they jointly signed to attest to what was recovered from the house at the completion of the search as required by the “procedure of law on search warrant which contained the money, documents and Laptop recovered, and none of the items include 2017 budget document”.

According to the Police spokesman items recovered and available for inspection includes cash sums of ₦18,056,000, 19,850 US Dollars, and SR9, 400 (Saudi Riyal).

The police said recovered also were “thirty-Eight (38) files and six envelopes containing documents, some of which are:
  • File on funds spent on security administration and information gathering– a-g – 2009;
  • File on the release of funds for Special operations a- f – 2009.
  • File on Gombe State Government of Nigeria Cash inflow 2005;
  • File on Project 2007 – Executive Briefs on how to fight opposition in Gombe State – Strategies and Tactics;
  • Envelopes containing permit to operate as an Oil Industry Service Company (special categories) 2011;
  • A File containing write-ups on how Governor Shekarau plotted the assassination of Sheikh Jafaru and;
  • Letters from Alhaji Mohammed Danjuma Goje (Sarkin Yakin Gombe) to the MD LUBELL Nigeria Ltd of proposed residential Devt at Kashere Phase II dated 16/01/2007 and 19/11/2010″.
While insisting that the action is consistent with Sec. 9 & 144 of the Administration of Criminal Justice Act 2015, the Police said nothing was done outside of the provisions of the law, therefore the claim its action would jeopardise the passage of the 2017 budget was just another distraction by the senator to cast aspersion on Police investigation to pervert the end of justice.

Former Special Adviser to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan on Electronic Media, Reno Omokri has described President Muhammadu Buhari as a “ghost President.”

According to DAILYPOST report Omokri, made the claim when the President fail to preside over the weekly Federal Executive Council, FEC, meeting on Wednesday.

Buhari had yesterday failed to preside over the FEC meeting for the third consecutive time. However, he delegated his role to his deputy, Yemi Osinbajo.

The former Presidential aide said it was hypocritical for a government that fights ghost workers to be headed by a “ghost President.”

The United States based Pastor advised Buhari to hand over power to his deputy if he can’t carry on.

In a series of tweets on his social media handle, Omokri wrote: “It is hypocritical for a govt that fights ghost workers to have a ghost President. If the President is sick, let him hand over to Osinbajo!
“If you thinks it’s harsh to ask President @MBuhari to hand over to Osinbajo ask him if he did not give the same advice to Yar’adua in 2010!
“On March 10, 2010, President @MBuhari called for impeachment of Yar’adua because his illness prevented him from performing his duties.
“For 3 weeks our President hasn’t attended FEC. For 3 weeks we only see him at Mosque. Would @MBuhari have tolerated this from Yaradua/GEJ
“Ghost President, with ghost achievements fighting ghost workers with an EFCC that goes after his ghost monies in apartments owned by ghosts.
“I urge any civil servant who is being queried or sacked for absenteeism to sue the FG. If President Buhari can work from home, why cant you?
“Hand over to Osinbajo! It doesn’t have to be permanent. Go take care of yourself. Aso Rock is a PRESIDENTIAL Villa not a retirement home!”
