Drake revealed new details about his ongoing feud with Kanye West during a taping of LeBron James' HBO show The Shop on Friday.

The 31-year-old rapper said he felt betrayal when West released his album Ye just weeks before Drake's Scorpion.
And this was after the two had collaborated on several songs without West mentioning he was working on his own album.
'Oh this guy’s trolling me. This was like a manipulative, like, "I wanna break you" thing,' Drake explained.
'I said, "Alright, I’m gonna go back to distancing myself again. I know what this is."' he added.
Prior to the release, Drake said the former friends got along great in the studio.
'He sold me on this whole speech of like, ‘I’m in a great place, I’m making money, and I’m a father, and I wanna be Quincy Jones and help you.
"But in order to do that, you’ve gotta be transparent with me, you gotta play me your music, and you gotta tell me when you’re dropping. And I know you don’t like to do things like that,'” Drake recalled.

'I guess we all kind of felt a genuine vibe from it, so I play him my music and I told him when I was dropping.'

West also allegedly played Drake samples from Lift Yourself and offered it to Drake.
'He played me Lift Yourself and he was like, "Yo, you can have this if you want." And I was hype. I started writing to it.'
Afterwards, West invited Drake to Wyoming.
Better days: 'Oh this guy¿s trolling me. This was like a manipulative, like, "I wanna break you" thing,' Drake explained; (pictured in 2005 with Kenny Burns)
'I went and ended up pretty much spending the majority of my time working on his music, just trying to like cook up ideas for him,' Drake said.

'Just trying to lend a helping hand. … I spent all my time working on his music. We left with Lift Yourself and a pat on the back.'
Then Drake discovered West had his own album and produced Pusha T’s album —both which dropped close to Scorpion's date.
And Pusha T had a few diss songs about Drake including one about the son he recently discovered which he allegedly had with former adult star Sophie Brussaux.

Next, West released Lift Yourself himself to Drake's surprise.
'I was just there with you as friends helping you, and now you’re dissing me? So I’m like, "Man, this is dark.'"Drake explained.
That was when Drake walked away from the ensuing battle of words on social media and still feels it was the right move.
'I feel pure, I feel good. I took that energy and I put it into me, not you. You don’t get that from me,' he concluded.
