Former BBC Presenter Reveals she Underwent a 6-Hours Operation to Have Tumor Removed From her Brain

Former BBC presenter Rosie Millard has revealed that she recently underwent surgery to have a brain tumour removed.

The 53-year-old TV correspondent told friends and fans via social media that she'd had a "grim" six-hour procedure.
Rosie wrote on Twitter, alongside an image of herself recovering: "Gone! Big but benign brain tumour removed in a 6 hour op.
"Thanks to the magnificent doctors and nurses @QSNeurosurgery and for huge support from @childrenandarts, @BBCCiN, @Opera_North, @thesundaytimes and from beloved family and friends. Thankyou. What a relief."
She later tweeted: "Ways to deal with something so daunting as a large benign brain tumour. 1. Be distracted. Was at the Palace 2 days post diagnosis. 2. Wear heels en route to the op. 3. Keep smiling. Accept hugs. Give hugs. Above all, trust the medical team. Thankyou @QSNeurosurgery."
When asked how the tumour was discovered, Rosie explained to one follower that she "had a bit of tinnitus on one side".
