Chelsea transfer blow: Man City to hijike Blues target after Jorginho frustration

Jean-Michael Seri

MANCHESTER CITY are getting fed up over the chase of Jorginho and splash out on the Nice star and Chelsea target Jean-Michael Seri reports emerging.
The Blues have a keen interest in the Ivorian and expect to make him their first transfer of the summer.

And it is reported that Roman Abramovich is very keen on getting the deal over the line and proceedings have started.
However, with the current managerial situation at the club, agents are reluctant to agree to deals with the club for their clients.
And the west London side has suffered a further setback after City registered an interest.
Reports coming from the Mirror claims that Etihad chiefs are growing tired with Napoli's negotiations in the Jorginho deal and it has led to them looking elsewhere for cheaper options.
The Premier League champions had made the Italian midfielder their top priority but the Serie A side will not budge from their £60m valuation.
And City are aware that Seri would cost nearly half that amount, who is desperate to move to the Premier League.
Jorginho is also desperate to move to City and it remains to be seen whether this latest move is meant to force his representatives into forcing a deal with Napoli.
But if a bid is made for Seri, it would cost £36m, which is what the Mirror report is his release clause.
It would come as a huge blow to Chelsea, who would not be able to compete with the Pep Guardiola outfit's wages.
The Stamford Bridge side are having their own problems with Napoli owner Aurelio De Laurentiis.
The tough-talking president is playing hardball over their pursuit of coach Maurizio Sarri.
Despite the Italian outfit's appointment of Carlo Ancelotti as head coach, they are refusing to let Sarri go.
