Mohamed Salah wins Premier League Golden Boot, Breaking Previous Goal Record Held By Cristiano Ronaldo

Liverpool, Mohamed Salah has been crown the English Premier League Golden Boot winner for the 2017-18 season, having scored 32 goals in his First season at Liverpool.

Salah has finished the season as the top scorer with the most goals in the Premier League, surpassing the previous record of 31 goals held jointly by Cristiano Ronaldo (2007-08) and Luis Suarez (2013-14).

The 25-year-old became the first African player to win the Golden Boot since Ivory Coast icon Didier Drogba, who won the award on two occasions in 2006-07 and 2009-10 respectively.

The last player to score more goals than Salah was before the rebranding of the Premier League when it was still known as the First Division, with the player in question being Clive Allen of Tottenham in 1986-87 when he netted 33 times.
